#privacy policy
Your data stays with us. We hold the name, email, phone, and (for orders) shipping address you give us when you get in touch — nothing more. We never combine it with information from anywhere else, never enrich it with third-party data, and never pass it to brokers. Payment details, when an order is placed, are handled by our payment processor and we never see the card number ourselves. We retain order records for tax purposes for the period required by law (typically six years), and contact-form messages for up to two years unless you ask us to delete them sooner. You have the right to access, correct, port, or erase any of it; email us and we will respond within thirty days. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority if you believe we have mishandled your data.
#cookies
We use cookies only where necessary to make the site work. That includes a session cookie to keep you logged in or to remember the contents of your basket, plus a cookie that stores whether you've accepted or rejected non-essential cookies (so we don't ask you again). There are no analytics cookies, no marketing tags, no advertising scripts of any kind on this site. We do not load third-party JavaScript that could track you across the web. You can clear cookies in your browser at any time; nothing important will be lost. Essential cookies expire when you close the browser, except the preference cookie which lasts up to a year.
#data we hold about you
You have full rights over your information. That means access (we'll send you a copy), rectification (we'll correct anything wrong), erasure (we'll delete it, subject to any legal retention period), portability (we'll provide it in a machine-readable format), and the right to restrict or object to processing. Reach out and we'll process the request within thirty days, free of charge. If anything we do leaves you uncomfortable, you can also contact the data-protection authority in your country directly.

How long records stay
Notes from an initial conversation are kept for twelve months, then destroyed unless you become a client. For ongoing engagements, statements, letters of engagement and correspondence are retained for six years after the relationship ends — the period regulatory record-keeping expects of advisory work. You can ask for a copy of everything held about you at any time; it usually takes a fortnight to compile.
Brook Vault Path does not run advertising pixels, lookalike audiences or third-party analytics on this site. The only cookie set is a session identifier that expires when you close the browser.
Who holds the data, and where
Records are held by Brook Vault Path K.K. at 1-17 Shironehinodecho, Minami Ward, Niigata City, Niigata 950-1223, Japan, on encrypted storage. Paper copies exist only when a client asks for a signed engagement letter, and they live in a locked cabinet at the same address. Questions about this policy reach me fastest by phone on +81 25-373-3611.
